Heroin

Well everyone, there comes a time in every man's life when he spells a word incorrectly and gets ridiculed for it. Just a few minutes ago, I noticed that 'heroin' (the drug) is spelled with only one 'e.' How about that? So by asking you all a few days ago about the possible presence of 'heroine' in the gnome's basket, I was in fact inquiring about the presence of 'a woman noted for courage and daring action' (dictionary.com) and not the highly addictive narcotic also known as diacetylmorphine.
