Traffic to The LOG Blog is way up. 'Why?' you might ask. Well, I guess the Bee did a pretty damn good job with our SEO.

Punxsutawney Phil Sees His Shadow

PUNXSUTAWNEY, PENN. (Feb 2, 2005) -- "Phil's a shadowy character," one sign read in the wee hours of this chilly Groundhog Day morning in the weather capital of the world, Punxsutawney, Penn. At approximately 7:30 AM, Punxsutawney Phil, the seer of seers, the prognosticator of prognosticators, Punxsutawney's very own groundhog meteorologist, emerged from his stump at Gobbler's Knob for the 119th time and, speaking in plain groundhogese to the Inner Circle, proclaimed that he had seen his shadow, meaning that we shall endure six more weeks of winter. The Spring Equinox is on March 20. Until then, happy winter!

If you missed the fun, why not pick out a partner and join in the fun with the Groundhog Day 2005 video? Enjoy!

Groundhog Day 2005

Happy Groundhog Day, kids. It's been a fun one. And now I would like to grace you with something special and sentimental, which certainly will make Andy nauseated:

Hey Kids,

I just wanted to let you all know that I love you very much and that our road trip to Punxsutawney ranks as the coolest, most exciting, most rewarding, most ridiculous, most fun thing I have ever done in college. I can't go to bed right now, despite the fact that it is almost 3 AM, because I miss you all so much. I have begun counting down the seconds until our Groundhog Day movie party / sleepover tomorrow. (It really is tomorrow now.) I think it is going to be awesome. Thanks so much for coming to my game to support me. I feel so fortunate to have you fellow LOGers as my friends, especially in these trying times that we call winter. Speaking of which, nothing is cold for me anymore after Monday morning. And I think I can feel most of my toes now.

But seriously, thanks for not bailing out on the trip. It wouldn't have been the same had we not gone at all. How absurd would that have been! What would we have been doing these last few days?

Ok, I love you.

Ok, bye.

ok.
